Starbucks

Anyone tried this?

  1. No, but I just made a new friend, Karissa, who went to Rosslyn, and she said it is delicious! So, next time I get a card from somebody, I will buy it to try even though Starbucks has the worst record on fair trade. Have you seen Black Gold?

  2. I've seen snippets of Black Gold and I'd like to see more, but I don't know if I would be able to hack it. I am weak at heart when it comes to people being abused. Gift cards are exactly the reason I needed to buy something from them. Whenever I do something at my church, I am "thanked" with a Starbucks gift card. While I appreciate the gesture, it's a complete misgift. A) I think their record on fair trade is appalling as well, and B) They would have to be selling liquid gold in order to entice me to unload and try to contain 3 small children while they put a froth on my brew. I am a huge fan of the drive through at this stage in my life. Anyway, I bought some tonight when I was out alone. I can't wait to see if it is indeed "peppery" and "rich". One thing we do know, they people they bought it from are very, very poor.

  4. SEND THE GIFTCARDS TO ME!!!!!!! I will gladly drink them up. And no, it's not that I'm insensitive to the coffee growers, but you have to admit, it's some good coffee.

As far as the Rift Valley blend goes, it's fitting they call it hearty and complex.

  5. So you've tried it, Mark? Why weren't ANY of my siblings home yesterday?

  6. We were at small group. Try again. Or I'll try you this week. And no, I haven't tried it yet, but it's fitting as the Great Rift Valley is hearty and complex, no?
